Problem and Value Proposition: Within the dairy industry, dairy cows produce 240 tonnes of methane each year, and produce emissions equivalent to driving a truck 2 million miles. Meanwhile, farmers encounter increasing regulation, automation, and rising costs which squeeze margins. MOFarm utilizes metal organic frameworks (MOFs) serving as molecular-scale sponges to capture enteric methane to sell these emissions as renewable natural gas, as we convert the valuable invisible waste of dairy farmers into cash.

Regenerative Approach: Our approach is regenerative as we harness wasted and potent methane gas, which warms our atmosphere approximately 30x as quickly as CO2, into profit for dairy farmers. This touches upon multiple systems as we not only open a new revenue frontier for dairy farmers through utilizing and creating value from this invisible gas, but concurrently reducing methane emissions in our ecosystem.

Startup Stage: Currently, our start-up is still undergoing the pre-seed phase. However, we intend to gain funding from a variety of sources like research grants to develop our pilots while concurrently raising from VC firms.

Transformation: Our biggest transformative moment was having the honor to represent ReGenVen at the Collider Cup where we took 2nd place and People's Choice! As our class representatives, we wanted to truly encapsulate and prove through MOFarm that Regenerative Ventures can serve at the intersection of economic growth while being able to simultaneously have high social impact in local farming communities. On a similar "regenerative" note, seeing our classmates all rally together to come support us invigorated our spirits to truly show how communities can come together and unite around by the similar passion of impactful entrepreneurship.
