Re:Habitat
Rapidly deployable semi-permanent housing for disaster-displaced families
Focus Areas

Problem and Value Proposition: Re:Habitat addresses the gap between short-term emergency shelters and permanent housing for families displaced by disasters, evictions, and housing crises. Unlike current solutions that are often temporary, stigmatized, and low quality, leaving families without dignified living conditions during long recovery periods, Re:Habitat provides rapidly deployable, semi-permanent housing that supports stability for years while homeowners rebuild.
Regenerative Approach: By providing safe, dignified housing quickly, we help stabilize communities, and support long-term recovery of disaster victims. We also use responsibly sourced, low-impact materials and modular designs that can be dismantled, reused, and redeployed rather than discarded which makes our solution more regenerative.
Startup Stage: We are in the early validation and pilot stage, where we are developing our first prototype which would be piloted after securing a conditional Letter of Intent for a 20-unit pilot deployment with FEMA.
Transformation: Our biggest transformative moment was being able to overcome the roadblock of reaching national agencies directly for our first market. Through feedback, we finally settled on non profit organizations that helped us to settle on an achievable market that advanced our subsequent progress with the project.
